Contact & About Maggie Thompson

My home and Studio are based in Scarborough on the North Yorkshire Coast, where I have lived for over 25 years. Originally a watercolourist I have trained as a graphic artist, and more recently achieved a B.A.(hons) degree in Fine Art.

In recent years I have become a full time artist and part time teacher. I teach watercolour painting to the over 18's in the local main library.

My overwhelming preference has been to create floral art, but I also paint and teach figure and landscapes and cover most interests.

My latest plans include expanding my occasional workshop sessions to allow greater continuity and hence promote a better student experience.

Maggie is now available to pursue demonstrations/workshops for art societies/art classes in North Yorkshire.

Private lessons are available @ £18 per hour (minimum 3 hours) at her home studio.
